Sharon Sayegh | 2022 Year in Review

Sharon Sayegh’s oil paintings combine the styles of primitivism, realism, isometric and mixed perspectives with spirituality and wonder infused into her paintings. She then hangs her compositions on the armature of the rectangle.

Born to a Syrian immigrant father and an adventurous 3rd generation American mother her childhood was filled with exotic stories of her father's experiences growing up in medieval Damascus against the backdrop of well kept homes and manicured lawns of Margate and the carnival atmosphere of Atlantic City, NJ. She turns inward and to this childhood for inspiration.

In 2020 Sayegh received the Bernadette Award from the National Association of Women Artists. She is a member of the International Guild of Realism (IGOR) as well as a Signature Member of Artists for Conservation. She was recently interviewed on the Creative Brick Road Podcast. She has exhibited extensively and is in collections both here and abroad. Her studio is in East Brunswick, NJ.
